The Michael Aram Lighting Collection is a series of unique decorative objects that celebrate Michael's profound appreciation for intricacies found in nature. Drawing from his background as a sculptor, each piece is a hand-crafted interpretation of natural life, infusing an earthly element into any interior space.

The Black Iris Collection is inspired by the vitality and beauty of the iris flower. Named after the Greek word for rainbow, the idea of a "black rainbow" feels oxymoronic and mysterious. Michael Aram uses contrasting oxidized and polished brass, as his way of doubting the question of whether there is such a thing as an iris which is truly black in nature.

Today, over 200 artisans work alongside him in his workshop where the same creative interaction between artist and artisan remains.
